Doxycycline hyclate (100 mg bid) is used as an inhalation aerosol for the treatment of bronchospasm associated with asthma, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (in asthma), and reversible airway hyperreactivity (in asthma) and chronic bronchitis. It is also used to reduce the severity of asthma symptoms and to treat the progression of bronchospasm after acute attacks of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
Doxycycline hyclate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is known to be carcinogenic. It is also carcinogenic. In pregnant women, doxycycline should be used in pregnancy only as a last resort. Doxycycline should be used during the early stages of pregnancy, at the lowest effective dose, and at the time of the last menstrual period (mailed to becomeummies).
